Tapish
Starring: Sadia Imam, Saba Hameed, Farheen, Ahsan Khan, Farid Nawaz Baloch, Ghalib Kamal, Akbar Subhani, Azhar Abbas
Produced and directed by: Sadia Imam.
Sadia Imam too enters the field as a director...
The play revolves around Suboohi (Sadia Imam), a model who catches the eye of the evil vadera Farasatullah (Farid Nawaz Baloch). He uses Madam Soma Burney (Saba Hameed) to trap Suboohi, who does such work frequently for Farastullah. Soma Burney brings the proposal of her nephew, Farasatullah, who lives in America. Subohi is shown the picture, which is of Ghalib Kamal and she consents to marry. A nikah is performed over the phone and Soma takes Subohi and delivers her to Farasatullah who locks her up in his house. (Does the story sound familiar? Any one remembers “Koyla”)
However she somehow manages to escape, returns home and seeks khula. Meanwhile fate brings her face to face with Zain (Ghalib Kamal), whose picture had been shown to her. What happens next remains to be seen.
Farasatullah is enraged, and to teach Soma a lesson he sends people to kidnap her but they kidnap her daughter-in-law (Farheen) instead. Plus we have quite a few other characters thrown in as well to keep the play rolling.
