DescriptionL
"A love story - with the spotlight on three families: First we have Mr and Mrs Hayat (Shehryar Zaidi & Badar Khalil) who have two sons, Sharjeel (Adnan Siddiqui) and Sameer (Ali Kazmi). Mrs Hayat also has an unmarried sister Rafiya (Naila Ali). Mrs. Hayat is a very dominating and tyrant woman and no one in their house can do or say anything against her wishes.
Then we have a widow living in Islamabad who has two daughters Amna (Vaneeza Ahmed) and Imaney (Nadia Hussain). Amna is engaged to be married to Sharjeel and the whole family comes to Karachi for the wedding. At the mayun, they discover that Amna’s mother-in-law is not as sweet and mild tempered as they were told. However they are helpless and Amna gets married to Sharjeel. Amna is a docile girl and quietly bears all her mother in law’s taunts and puts up a brave face for her family.
Meanwhile Amna’s mamu Aman (Khalid Ahmed) falls for Sharjeel’s khala Rafiya and brings her proposal as well which is rejected by Rafiya. We also have a parallel story running of two sisters (Zeenat Yasmeen and Sajida Syed). One of the sister's daughter, Sheema (Sadaf Ibrahim), is married to the other’s son Ayaad (Aijaz Aslam). In an angry mood, Ayaad divorces Sheema and creates a rift between the two families. Of course he immediately begins to regret his decision but his ego comes in the way and he refuses to ask her to return and Sheema’s brother Mohsin too is very angry and his ego is hurt too and he too refuses all attempts for a reconciliation. Yet both of them are heartbroken.
Ali Kazmi makes his debut and proves that he is the son of Sahira and Rahat Kazmi. A good addition to the acting world. The play all in all is a good effort by Rubina Ashraf and a good watch."
