Five years after being formed, the Gulf’s first women-driven taxi fleet has grown from 7 to 30.
When female cabbies appeared on Dubai’s roads they provided a symbol as much as a service.
Above all, the Gulf’s first female-driven taxi fleet told the world that Dubai had shifted its equal opportunities policies into high gear.

its a nice movie but they might hesitate picking up male passengers. Because there is a heck lot of frustation in individuals in most of the muslim world .So its dangerous for a women to do this job.In the west it will be alright because boys and girl mix around openly and have premarital relationships while in muslims countries not likely.

First of all thats not a middle eastern woman....she is a somalian. Middle Eastern women are very lazy to work and demand money from their husband. This somalian women most likely has migrant to dubai to make money as things are really bad in somalia

Here in Dubai, things are diferent than what viewers are thinking about.
Dubai is next to any euopean country and women work freely in every field of business outlets. Women are safe here like men.
This is true that the driver looks like a somalian. Dubai is a multiracial and conmopolitan city and you will find maximum of nationalities here working and living.

Well, myself, I'm all for it if they so choose to want to work. That doesn't just go for Dubai but also worldwide but then again, I'm more of a liberal. I know there will be arguments against it, etc. but I've stated my opinion on the issue.

Well, liberalism is fine but this women issue is being forced on Muslim societies by the west. In the west if you see a woman driving a cab or doing any other job its not due to special quota or something but is part of the culture. The west wants something to beat up the Muslim world with and women's rights is one of them.
In places like Dubai, there will be plenty of male drivers available to take the job but no, they want women to drive. Islam has chalked out clear cut duties for Muslim men and women, but we are so under pressure from the west that the men can be kept unemployed and the women are lured to take their jobs.
I have been to Dubai a few times and yeah its one of the top SIN cities of the world nowadays.

I don't think it should be forced upon, I'm never for something to be forced upon someone. I meant if they choose to take the job. I don't think it should be off limits, but again I am not from and have never been to the Middle East yet.
Sorry to hear that there are lazy men or men who just don't want to work, etc. We have some people like that here (some who don't have a choice like the elderly but there are also those young and healthy enough to work but won't) but I blame corporations and companies as well as the individuals (depending on the case).

Sorry, a wrong button was pushed and i got exit.
About Sin City.
We should not look the darker side of a thing. I agree that here are Sins, but it is every where in the world, i dont want to mention the names of the countries.
Comparing Dubai in terms of, life hazzardness, security of a person, services, environment, life style, conveniences to the community with another countries, certainly Dubai is far better than any other place in the world.
The most vital thing in society is the security and services and both are available here to every single living person in Dubai.
Therefore, we are least concerned about the sin you mentioned about. No body force you to do a sin. People do it at their own and pay for it.
