Mosque attacked in Armley which is in Leeds

The fire broke out in a toilet at the Jamiat Tablighul Islam Mosque in Laurel Terrace, Armley on Friday morning.

A police spokeswoman said they thought a piece of cloth was put through a window to start the fire but "there was definitely no accelerant used".

Mohammed Jamil Ismail, a member of the mosque, said community relations in the area were normally very good but he had feared they might be targeted.

"We did not envisage this sort of attack so quickly after the incident that happened in London," he said.

"We have a large Muslim community around here and it's not very nice to be attacked at this time when all the attention is on the Muslim community.

"It seems to me that it may well be a retaliatory action by some fundamentalist part of the non-Muslim community.

This was expected and god forbid we may hear more of such incidents in future . May Allah safeguard the whole community at large from destruction.
The magnitude of London Attacks is severe to be retaliated by locals.
At this stage all muslim leaders and scholars should share their sufferings which might help to ease tension in the region.

This was all expected and i am afraid this is just the beginning. Especially, men who have beard and women who are wearing "burqa" will be targeted. I cant believe that these bombers dont think for a minute that what will happen to their families or their community because of their actions. Now what if some racist white guys attack their family or kill someone or rape women in their families, who will be respoinsible for those actions????? I blame the families of these boys who are reponsible for this. They should know what their sons are doing and whom they are associating with. There is nothing wrong in getting religious education but when you are sending your kid alone to Pakistan to get education in a madraassa as a concern parent i would have lots of doubts about his stay. how can they just let them go?? A lot of these questions need to be answered. And this is not just a problem of just 4 families but lots of other households need to look into this carefully.
