they won their firsst four games but lost the final group match against Bangladesh. and thats where the trouble started. khuub satta laga tha aur sub players ko paisay milay. Pakistan lost the momentum, their batters got out of shape and then lost the next two games against South Africa and India. thank god the last super six team was Zimbabwe, otherwise they would've been out in the super sixes.

in they end, they won 6 and lost 4 including the final.

Aus was not a strong side by that time and I was hoping that Pak's victory was sure but all in sudden I was shocked, Pak lost the match. This same thing happened with India in 2003 who were in great form but lost the final. Aus ****s for every team. But in 1999 Pak had beaten Aus in the league round match with Wasim bhai's great bowling.
